What is SORONA®?

SORONA® is an innovative insulation fibre used as filling in clothing, particularly jackets, vests and other insulated outerwear. It is partially made from plant-based raw materials, typically around 37% derived from corn or other renewable sugars. This gives it several advantages compared with traditional polyester filling and other synthetic materials.

SORONA® is a lightweight and innovative insulation material that provides effective warmth without feeling heavy or bulky.

The fibres are soft, elastic and shape-retaining, helping garments maintain their loft and fit – even after repeated use and washing.

SORONA® dries quickly and helps maintain its insulating properties in damp conditions. The partial use of plant-based raw materials also makes SORONA® a more sustainable alternative to traditional synthetic filling.
