WHAT IS SORONA®?

Sorona® (often referred to as Sorona® by DuPont) is an innovative fibre used as insulation in clothing, particularly jackets, vests and other insulating outerwear. It is partially made from plant-based raw materials (typically 37% from corn or other renewable sugars), offering several advantages compared with traditional polyester insulation and other synthetic materials.

Sorona® is a lightweight and innovative insulation that provides effective warmth without feeling heavy or bulky.

The fibres are soft, elastic and shape-retaining, helping the garment maintain its loft and shape – even after repeated use and washing.

Sorona® dries quickly and retains its insulating properties in damp conditions. At the same time, part of the fibre is plant-based, making Sorona® a more sustainable alternative to traditional synthetic insulation.
